I've gently tried to pry upwards on the o-ring thing but no go. Again, don't want to really have a go at it until I hear otherwise. Thanks everyone, it's fixed and no leaks!! I dug around in the basement and found a dental pick and got that seat out. Yep, it's a little rubber piece shaped like a cap with a spring underneath. I then went down to the local hardware store, no Jameco parts there, so I got a "universal" Delta kit with seals and springs. Also bought a little can of silicon grease.

Put the new seat and spring in with a little grease, and lightly greased the threads on that bonnet nut, put in back together, and no leaks! Thanks again all, definitely made my weekend!
